General Information

These classes are taught under the guidelines of the American Heart Association. All AHA certifications are valid for 2 years.

Different types of CPR for different types of people:

General Public
  • Heartsaver AED (Adult, child and infant CPR and AED)
  • Pediatric First Aid/CPR
  • Standard Adult First Aid
Childcare/Foster Care
  • Heartsaver AED
  • Pediatric First Aid/CPR
Healthcare Professionals (Nurses, Therapists, Assistants, Aides, Dental Offices and Health Occupation Students)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider CPR (for healthcare professionals)
  • The AHA has renamed this class and no longer has separate "initial" and "refresher" classes.
AHA Basic Life Support Instructor Course
  • The AHA BLS Instructor course will instruct participants how to teach many American Heart Association courses, including: Heartsaver AED, BLS Provider CPR (Healthcare Provider), Basic First Aid, Pediatric First Aid, CPR for Friends and Family
  • This course is offered based on demand.
  • The instructor will contact you upon registration.
  • You must have a current BLS for the HealthCare Provider CPR card to enroll in this course.

The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the AHA
